you should know by now that my name is evelyn constance barrett, but please call me evie , evdawgs , evs , or whatever. i like them much better! although my fake i.d. says differently, i'm really nineteen years old. cool, huh? i guess i could be classified as a celebrity, but i prefer not to be labeled. i grew up in the beautiful city of orleans , cape cod, but i certainly like this town much more! want to know how i act? three words can tell you that: i'm friendly, annoying, and insecure. yeah, i'm pretty amazing, aren't i? some say i look just like dianna agron, though i can't see it! jealous? i know. just look at how glamorous my life really is:

are you looking for the true definition of sixteen and pregnant? just look at lovely katrina 'kitty' samuels. summer spent at a local camp ground five miles from her cape cod home was just her definition of a normal, summer. she brought along her boyfriend, jakob barrett towards the end of august to celebrate the beginning of school that was rolling around soon enough. however, in their tents one evening they did a little more than sleep. suddenly, it became routine for them to really get it on, and eventually, protection didn't do them any justice. a week rolled around and kitty found out she was pregnant. kitty had an untarnished reputation at her public school, and nomatter how sick she felt, she completed her junior year. lucky for her, jakob was by her side. but the moment end of school bell rang, kitty found herself giving birth to the twins that had been inside of her right in the school's parking lot. two hours later? evelyn and kathleena barrett were rushed off to the hospital with their mother. very large due to the late birth, they were kept under intensive care for a while.

the infants were notorious for trouble making. this was partially because their mother and father decided to graduate from high school, and were left with their grandmother, who was developing problems in her legs and became very slow to care for them. without the speedy scorning that most children need, even at age two they could spill their food and torture the cat without any bother from their adults. this gave them a careless nature even into their teens. both evie and her sister, kt, were diagnosed with adhd at a young age, as well as dyslexia. evie also had a common form of autism, one that was mild but would affect her social skills. the parents were told that a private school was best for the twins, and kitty and jakob agreed. evie had trouble in school, sometimes dismissing people who needed to talk to her because of her disabilities. kt was the only person she would pay attention to, though they mostly whined at each other and bickered. evie needed a lot of special help from teachers, even at her private school. she was teased, bullied, but evie's disabilities allowed her to put them out of her mind.

evie's fifteenth year was both a triumph and a downfall. evie snatched the lead role in her school play, where she was then discovered. her childish looks placed her on kids television shows. people began to think less and less of her diagnosis, and it began to be an advantage. being able to shove the outside world away, and turning herself inside out, when channeled directly, made evie a fabulous actress and what was predicted to be a rising star. however, at a party thrown with her friends one night, the girl discovered alcohol. she was raped in a simple home closet. she was discovered the next morning with no clothes on, still passed out from alcohol poisoning. the unfortunate accident landed the girl back at square one , with a pregnancy to match. the shows she was on were cancelled and evie took nine months of throwing up until she went into labor. but the baby, too early, had not developed lungs and passed away. the reason the teen hadn't had an abortion was so that she could cherish a child. her mom had done it - so why couldnt she ? but the baby was a bust, and evie put it behind her.

four years alter, evie showed up at the acting scene once more. not immediately, but eventually, she scored minor rolls around some big tv shows. evie was back as a star. events in her life had made her not so much a good role model, but a good person now. she knew that paparazzi was watching her, so she would be very negative towards herself. she became insecure. the lack of free time gave her very few friends, so the ones she had she clung to tightly.

The day was absolutely fucking beautiful - and Hunter was going to take advantage of it. After threateneing to be held back again from her freshman year, Hunter had given in and had sworn to herself that she wouldn't miss an assignment for the entire last term. With summer approaching and just days to go, Hunter was intense on not shattering the promise she had made to herself. Though not what many people would call intelligent, she didn't want to flunk out of highschool and become poor and ugly and homeless. That was not going to happen to her. But the sun shone like a bully into her dorm where she lay on her bed scribbling out arithmetic. It teased her. Even through her thin white t-shirt, she began to perspire and breathe heavily. Hunter threw a hand up to her head, to find it suddenly moist. "Ugh," why did she have a math exam to study for on one of the nicest days of the year?

Hunter locked the door to her dorm and stripped down to her bare skin. She felt uncomfortable and unprotected. And when she passed the mirror on her way across the room to her dresser, she saw herself. She immediately felt awkward. Despite her piggish habits, she was an absolute stick, even though she did seem to keep a healthy appearance. Her legs were thick with muscle, but it looked like fat. And her chest? Flat, to say the least. She wasn't a ruler, but she hated how so many girls bragged about cup size. She didn't just hate it, she wanted to punch whoever mentioned it. She wouldn't say it aloud, never, but the only reason she wore such baggy clothes was to have an excuse for being ugly. Maybe if she pretended she didn't care, no one would give her shit about it. She knew girls would be girls and whisper behind their palms, and Hunter would feel a little hurt later, but those sweats went up like armor. They distracted from her stripped, disproportional self - the self that she thought she was. Hey, it could be worse, she thought, I could be wicked fat.


She continued on to her dresser, trying not to get down on herself too much. No one was going to ruin her perfect 'summer's almost in reach' sort of day. She kept her chest and head up high as she shifted through her drawers. The pool, she thought, would be the perfect place. After finding her body tight one piece, she tugged, finding the bottom half to be stuck. A little annoyed, she pulled harder, ripping her arm back, and on it's way, she ripped the suit. Angry, Hunter dropped the shredded bathing suit onto the floor and went to look for something else. But that was the only suit that fit her. The freshman massaged her temples, feeling very aggravated. Nothing was going right this afternoon, not at all. Finally, Hunter forced herself to scavenge her roommate's drawers. She wouldn't mind, whatever her name was. She couldn't recall, but whatever. The girl was slightly more petite than she was, and she suddenly found her to be much, much sluttier. The barely-there bikinis were tucked into entirely their own drawer, and except for pattern and color, every one of them was alike - they were skimpy and stringy and Hunter suddenly felt like burning them all.

Hunter threw on the fullest bathing suit possible (click?). She tried to wander away from the mirror, afraid of feeling awkward and stringy. She fastened all the strings and ties and grabbed her plain, white beach towel. She twisted around to check the label. Juicy Couture, but as she swung her head back around, she caught a glimpse of herself in the mirror, and she stared for a while. This was a different Hunter than the one she had seen five minutes ago. No, she actually felt beautiful. She for once her her life had curves. Her entire body looked long and perfect. She wondered how a skimpy little bikini could possibly do this but the fact was that it had. Suddenly. Hunter felt like a girl again, young and carefree and feminine and fun and flirty. Her eager steps to get down to the pool were fleet and bouncey, and as she stepped through the sliding doors onto the pool deck, she felt complete.

Flopping her towel into a silvery lawn chair and letting down her hair, and stepping up to the deep end and dipping her toes in. Man, she hadn't felt like this since she was three and running around in a dirty easter dress. She hadn't felt like this in ages.
